Conference; Architecture listening landscapes
Friday, Novembre 13, 2015 from 18h to 21h
Riccardo Vannucci, FAREstudio
Amphitheater of the National School of Fine Arts in Lyon
Whether is built or natural, the landscape is inseparable from the architectural project.
With its detailed analysis, with sensitivity to genius loci, results in a clear and relevant architectural response, respectful of its environment. Implantation, orientation, choice of materials of a building must be in coherence with the physical reality of the territory and the current issues of sustainable development. So it is important to not forget the history of this territory and the uses and needs of its inhabitants. Physical integration is just as important as cultural and social integration.
The European Price for Architecture Philippe Rotthier highlights contemporary works that incorporate all these notions. Whatever the program, the aim of integration, insertion in a site is in the heart of the reflection of the rewarded teams.
